Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
A safe and effective treatment option for depression, PTSD and more
TMS has helped many people find relief when medication or talk therapy alone has not been enough. At Manas Clinic, we provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as part of our commitment to offering advanced, non-invasive treatments for mental health conditions.
What is TMS?
TMS is a treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood, thought patterns and emotional regulation. It does not require surgery, anaesthesia or medication, and you can return to your daily routine straight after each session.
Evidence-Based, Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an advanced, medication-free treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and certain addiction-related conditions. It works by delivering gentle magnetic pulses to specific brain areas that regulate mood and motivation, helping to restore normal activity and improve symptoms.
How TMS Works
TMS uses a magnetic coil placed on the scalp to stimulate targeted brain regions. Unlike electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), it does not require anaesthesia or sedation, and there is no recovery time. Each session can take from 3 to 20 minutes, and patients can resume normal activities immediately afterwards.
Treatment courses usually involve 30–40 sessions over 4–6 weeks, depending on clinical needs.
Conditions Treated with TMS
- Treatment-resistant depression (when medications or therapy have not been effective)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- Addiction-related brain dysregulation
- Cognitive and motivational symptoms in recovery
A standard treatment course involves sessions 2-5 times per week, though this may vary depending on your personal treatment plan
